buzz off!

She was greeted with a rather pleasant and open response, and Sterling was thrilled. Meeting strangers was always a gamble; always interesting in the end, but initial greetings could be tense. This was different, and it made her tail wave a little more eagerly. "Bug bites?" she quipped with a tilt of her head, "Where'd you meet these bugs? I wanna make sure to steer clear!" She'd had bug bites before, and she knew how intolerably itchy they could get. If she could avoid them, she sure as heck would! As for her own reasons here, she wasn't really sure anymore. She'd pretty much just wandered this way aimlessly, hoping she'd find something but realizing she wasn't equipped with the knowledge to find what she needed.
"I thought I'd find something here for my cuts," she replied to the woman's question, "But after seeing all the plants, I'm dead certain I have no idea what to look for." She had noticed the she-wolf's eyes roam over her marred coat. Sterling didn't mind that the stranger hadn't mentioned anything, but she also didn't mind talking about them herself. Although the raid had been more brutal than she'd anticipated, she was proud to have been involved and played her part, doing her best to fight for Talis. She'd be more cautious next time, but she wouldn't back down if the pack needed to raid another some day.
Emerald eyes met with the other's gaze. "Since I don't know what I'm looking for, maybe I can help you find marigold," she offered - it wouldn't be the first time she'd helped someone look for plants, "What does it look like?" She'd turn away from the other, then, her gaze casting around the mixed garden surrounding them. Not everything was dead. Much of it, but there was still greenery, the toughest of plants surviving the heat and dry weather, others recovering with the recent rains. Sterling hoped she could help the other find what she was looking for, especially if it would help with those irritating, itchy bites!
