Wishing, Wanting, Waiting

Alfie had been doing what he could to learn about herbs in Fiori first and foremost. The remnants of Razor’s herb stores had been used as his initial test herbs on rodents. He was learning what they could do, how they looked and smelled, even if he did not yet know them by name. The brute found the progress promising… but he knew it wasn’t enough. He had to learn more… had to keep pushing himself forward so that he could better himself for the sake of Fiori. On the plus side finding his purpose had brought a breath of fresh life back to Alfred. He still found himself visiting Razor a lot… but not as many tears were shed this time.

Koron had been running out of the territory to find and gather all sorts of herbs for her friend. She was glad to see him smiling once more, dedicated to his new craft… though burying himself in his studies probably wasn’t too healthy either. One step at a time though, right? She found him in his new den as usual, Razor’s old one, and set some fresh herbs at his paws. They were used to stop bleeding and infection from what Alfie had gathered about them primarily… His blue gaze flicked to Koron and he offered her a smile.

“You didn’t run into any trouble out there, right Koron?” Alfred asked, wanting to make sure the fox was alright. He scooted a bit closer to her, looking her over quickly before giving a satisfied nod. She was safe… and that was what mattered.
