We Will Meet Again

The handsome man next to her, with his cyan eyes and earthy hued fur, held her full attention as he spoke. She was a little surprised by his aspirations to be a warrior. Seeing him now, being so gentle and kind, it was hard to picture him in the thick of battle, but she knew he would have size on his side and knew he could do anything he set his mind to if he wanted it bad enough. She caught the look he gave her when he mentioned wanting to protect his family and friends and knew exactly what he meant with it. It warmed her heart, knowing that she was included with that treasured group of wolves to him. She could certainly appreciate just rolling with whatever happened with his life, since she had been living her whole life like that. Meili couldn't resist a chuckle and a smile when he mentioned life throwing things at him though. Her tongue flicked at his nose playfully and she replied, "Don't you mean crashes into you?" She laughed again, thinking back to when she went tumbling into the willow tree behind them. At the time she had been mortified, but now that everything had worked out like it had she could laugh at how silly she must have looked. "Speech." |
