Eyes on the prize

Torin narrowed his eyes, watching a young buck a bit of a ways off. The deer was clearly wary of the wolf watching it but for the time being had decided he was no threat; and tempting as it was Torin had to agree with that assessment, he simply wouldn't be capable of bringing the buck down alone and certainly wasn't stupid or foolhardy enough to try.
Instead he simply shifted on his haunches, ears perked and dual colored gaze watching the tempting treat. The thought to seek help had crossed his mind but he simply couldn't be bothered enough to seek anyone else out. Worse came to worse there were smaller less dangerous things he could catch rooting around in those grasses.
