When It Feels So Hopeless; Smile Again

Growling and chewing as though he was the scariest fiercest wolf in the whole world, Amos would continue his battle against the evil root monster. The pupish antics hid the very real irritation he felt towards his predicament. He didn't like being stuck, it made him pretty mad. The battle may have continued for a while till he calmed down, but it was interrupted early by a voice nearby. Flopping over so he was upside-down with a mouthful of bark, large tri-colored eyes lanced around seeking the source of the words, "Wah?"
String up at the pale man, Amos sat for a bit with mouth agape. He hadn't seen a lot of strangers in his short life, and the one of two he had encountered hadn't looked nearly as interesting! Staring at the larger adult only occupied him for a second, attention soon flicking back to the root that held him hostage. "Oh, okay!" he cried louder than necessary, rolling around to a position where he could more easily focus on extracting the snared limb. Slowly, he pulled his silvery paw out from the natural trap, then awkwardly flopped around again as he twisted to look over at the man with a silly grin, "Did it!" he announced with pride, tongue lolling out of his mouth. Wriggling closer to the guy without a care about not knowing him, Amos began the classic puppy assault of questions, "Who are you? Where did you come from? Why are you so tall???"
