What could he have possibly said to that? Every day of the summer felt closer and closer to the day Sparrow would take over and he would lose his chance to ever be a leader but his mother was far too kind and gentle to understand that. As far as Tyranis was concerned his mother had been through too much, almost all of her children were gone and it had weighed heavily on her heart. Now wasn’t the time to vent his frustration, he knew that. “It’s been fine.” He lied, and although it was a good lie with a just cause it still made his stomach clench and twist. He had always hated lying to his mother, and as far as he could tell she was the only one on earth other than Cloud he couldn’t lie to without feeling guilty. He suspected she might have been able to tell when he was lying which had further discouraged him from lying to her, but in this case he would make an exception. His golden eyes caught sight of something on her wrist and his head cocked to the side curiously. “What’s that?” He asked, his voice lighter than usual and although she couldn’t see it a small smile had begun to form on his lips.
