When I close my eyes to this paradox place

A small smile formed on the young girl's lips at Bane's comment, turning her head a bit to look to him. She grew shy though as he sniffed her, ears folding back against her head and turning away from him again the slightest. He asked if she was okay, that it was quite a blizzard but nothing smelled wrong with her. Should she tell him? Or should she just keep it to herself, start to bottle things up and remain to herself so that she didn't bother people or become a burden on them. Loccian didn't want that to happen.

So with a deep breath she straightened herself out, sitting taller, taking in the sadness from her face and replacing it with a blank one, grey eyes dull. Physically yes, I'm in better condition now than any other time since returning. She finally said after a few moments of silence, her gaze looking across the lake, trailing along the shore then heading out to the center. She wished the snow would be gone, that spring would take over and fill the lands with color and life. Herbs were hard to come by during this time, and there were some she would like to take right about now to deal with the pain in her heart.
