He realized suddenly amidst his staring that she was considerably younger than him. She was quite clearly less than half his age - something that hadn't been immediately apparent in the near-darkness. Her question about if she could be fun earned a simple scoff from him; he fought the urge to roll his eyes at the ridiculous thought.  "Something like that," he mumbled in half-hearted reply.

His posture had slackened, just slightly, but he remained visibly wary as he regarded her. She seemed quite insistent, and truthfully being entertained by this very pretty (but very strange) woman didn't sound like the worst thing that could happen to him tonight. In fact, he could come up with quite the long list of things that would definitely be worse - though being alone sounded nicer in his mind, he wasn't one for arguing. Especially with a damsel who seemed more stubborn than he was. Instead he merely shrugged and trudged on, through the thick fog that clung tight to the earth.

After a moment he turned to face her again, cocking an eyebrow. "If you're going to follow me, don't you at least want to know my name?" Diarmuid's voice was gruff, though without much hint of emotion. It was just as likely that he was pleased as much as he was annoyed, though his scarred visage betrayed little of either emotion.
