The moment Aranea came toward him he felt light as a feather. He wanted to tell her how grateful he was, that in that moment she had made him the happiest man in the world, but he couldn’t. He refused to let Sparrow see how much she meant to him…How much he loved her. He stayed stoic and calm as Sparrow sked to speak with them and he felt as though he had been thrown into a river of ice. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves and not launch himself at Sparrow in that instant for even daring to keep them apart. He swallowed hard and nodded to Aranea, then turned to the blind woman “I will see you soon mother.” He said, his voice kept as neutral as possible. He looked at Aranea again for a brief instant and then walked away to the border to wait for them.
