Goodbye from lonely

She hesitated on the border that Fiori and Dragoste shared... or used to share. The last few times she had done her patrols she had noticed that the scent markers from Fiori's side had gotten more and more faint. Today she stood on the edge of the mangrove that used to be her home and all she heard was silence. Her heart ached with worry and she walked further into the mangroves. Where was Heather? Where was any of her family? What happened to Fiori? Her ears flicked back against her head as she started to search for any sign of them. Surely they wouldn't just disappear without telling her they were leaving. In her mind Fiori had always been a permanent thing. It had been the one thing she had always counted on. When she left with Ganta she had thought that if something went wrong she could always come back here. When Ganta created Dragoste she thought that if they failed they could still come live in Fiori. And now it was just gone. She whined and made her way toward her father's den. |
