Instead of shying away from Kanja's veiled proposition, Iskra seemed game and went as far as tossing her two cents in. Kanja grinned impishly at her. "We should." She had no idea if the creature was dangerous or not, but that just made it all the more exciting.

As Iska moved in front of the lizard-goat, Kanja hung back in the hopes that it would focus on the red woman. If it did she thought she might be able to sneak in close and maybe snatch the fish out of its mouth, or perhaps knock it off its feet, whichever seemed more likely to grant her success.

Seeing Iskra and sensing her intentions, the goat-lizard dropped its head and shook its horns in warning. The challenge was clear: bring it. The creature wasn't phased by the wolf stalking it. This was good, Kanja decided. Clearly it had its sights set on Iskra, which may or may not be a problem for the red woman in the near future, but it definitely wasn't a problem for Kanja. She wanted to tell Iskra of her forming plan but feared her voice would draw the creature's attention to her, so instead she remained silent and hoped the woman would somehow catch on.

After Iskra had moved to block the creature's path and it was clear that the goat-lizard had given her its undivided attention, then and only then did Kanja slink forward. She moved slowly and in a wide arc around the creature in the hopes of escaping its notice. Once she was behind it her gaze lifted and she sent a confident wink Iskra's way. This was gonna be good.

Three, two, one...

Kanja was off like a shot. Her long legs ate up the distance between them as she sought to slam the point of her left shoulder into the outside of the goat-lizard's right haunch. She was hoping to catch it by surprise and knock it off its feet.

What she hadn't expected was that the creature would see her coming from a mile away. With an explosive, reptilian hiss it spun around and sent Kanja reeling away seconds before impact. She barely avoided its wicked horns as she danced away laughing. The lizard-goat chased her a few steps and then stopped to paw at the ground and shake its head. After putting a few feet between them Kanja spun to face it head on. "Whew! That was close," she chortled to Iskra before fixing her gaze on the creature. "You clever thing, you. Come on," she bared her teeth at it, "You can do better."
