She could have dealt with the dame sure the girl was abrupt sure she didn't like the new alpha but she could have subsisted, a shadow on the fringes watching over the weak. She had met the dames eyes and though she saw no kindness in them she suspected the lass would not have cared either way, and midnight would not have picked a fight but the males words set her teeth on edge and made her hackles rise. Who was he to demand their fealty he had not won their pack or their loyalty, he was simply the alphas mate and the alpha had yet to gain the pack she almost opened her mouth to say so but stopped herself at the last minute as the crusade once again spoke out her thoughts, far more eloquently then she would have managed. She no longer intended to say not with that brute holding sway but the pups, she was not going to leave them to this mad tyrant, not if she had a choice. The idea that gargoyle would be welcome back, would receive a title almost made her laugh surely he would not return, would he, bested by this dame his pack twisted beyond recognition its members scattered to the four winds, what reason would he have for coming back if the pups left with them.

She watched from the corner of her eye as the dame rounding up the children, but stayed in her spot between the alphas elect and the cubs waiting for the group to clear the field, her mind was made up her position decided and she let her hatred for the male shine from her eyes her teeth bared for a moment, before she turned taking up a rear guard behind the departing pups and their carer, she regretted not spending more time introducing herself to the dame, and to the other members of the pack, but it was to late now she could not go back to before. She turned at the last moment her words and gaze directed at the male rather then the new queen?i throw my lot with our chief he may have been bested but he has more honour in a single hair then you have in your entire body,? her gaze shifted to the dame and her voice changed somewhat no longer the barely controlled furry but a softer almost apologetic tone, ?you may make a strong queen may hold the borders of glaciem for longer then your predecessor, but the glaciem you seek to build is not one I wish to take part in,? she suspected she may just have burnt the bridges here and so she turned with a final swipe of her tail and moved after the other outgoing wolves. Home was not a patch of ground where you slept the night and hunted prey it was the people you stood shoulder to shoulder with, the pack, her pack was her home and her pack was moving out.
