What Hurts The Most

It broke her heart seeing the young, earth-hued man like this. At his pained whisper of her name, her ears laid flat against her skull and her eyes closed, letting him hold her close and was just simply there for him. There wasn't much else she could do for him. All she had to offer was her presence and she hoped that was enough. A deep sadness echoed in her. Knowing he was hurting in any way made Meili feel awful with worry. She didn't care if the rain poured on them and thunder crashed over head. She would stand her with him as long as it took. After several moments of holding him and trying to comfort him the best she could, she asked him gently, "What happened? Gael, what's wrong?" She didn't pull away, she refused to let him go unless he wanted her to. Despite the situation, standing there in the middle of a storm with her obviously broken friend, she felt better holding him close. Knowing he was there where she could care for him gave her a little comfort. She could only hope that she could do the same for him. "Speech." |
