What Hurts The Most

A small smile touched her muzzle at her friend's words. Even in this awful time he still found a way to pull at her heartstrings and make her feel loved. It felt good to know that even when his world was crumbling around him, she could help him in some way. She might not be able to heal him completely, but if she could help him in the process she would do whatever it took. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else..." she replied, her words completely sincere. She couldn't hold back a soft shiver as the cold seeped through her wet fur to her skin. She knew if she was feeling the cold in Gael's protective embrace, he was probably freezing. He was already broken emotionally, she didn't want him sick on top of that. As much as she didn't want to she slipped out from under him, flinching slightly as the rain hit her face and thunder echoed around them again. "Lets find somewhere a little drier, okay?" she told him, hoping he might know of somewhere nearby that they could wait out the storm. "Speech." |
