Kerosene and a Fistful of Matches

Pyralis felt her limbs light with excitement as the moved north.  Above her Alkali soared steady and true to the first target and the first victims of the Abraxas in this strange land.  She moved swiftly and elegantly, her whole body seemingly charged with an eagerness for violence though she knew this was not a battle… not yet.  They would attempt to make these mortals see reason and if they failed then the Abraxas would tear them to ribbons.  She glanced behind her at her children and offered them a little smile.  She was proud of them.  Proud of the wolves they'd grown to be and the future that they would inherit.

Standing next to her brother she gazed out across the weeping willows that were shifting every so slightly in the breeze.  No one had approached them yet but it was only a matter of time before that changed.  She rolled her shoulders lazily forward and flexed her toes. "I forget brother, are you a betting man?  I wonder how long before they realize we're here.  We could just start making ourselves at home."  Pyralis laughed, never thinking for a moment that they might not succeed.  Amon tipped back his head and howled for the alpha and she laughed.  It was just like her brother to get right to the point.
