Malleus deliberately trailed behind his father as the elder Abraxas made his way to the border of his future pack. He strongly doubted the those that called this place home would simply roll over (even if it was in their best interest) and allow the Abraxas to make their claim so he intended to do a little scouting before joining the rest of the family. He wouldn't stray too far; no, just a little jaunt in whatever direction looked the most traveled. Each and every Abraxas that joined Amon on this mission was capable of holding their own. If things devolved while he was separated from the group he was confident that they would be just fine without him. His presence wouldn't make or break the battle. What might make a difference, though, was if there were any pack wolves outside their borders. The last thing one of his relatives needed was to be jumped from behind.
