Ashiel strode boldly after his mother. With his family around him he felt more confident than ever. They were gods! They were untouchable! He worked to steady his breathing, he could feel his blood hammering in his ears with the thrill of possibly seeing his first battle and if not that he would see the masterful work of his uncle in negotiation and leadership. This was one of the best learning experiences he could have. As they crossed into the southern territories his mother would turn and smile at him and he smiled back, chest swelling with pride.

They came upon the packs borders and Ashiel held back for a moment to observe as a… very weird looking mortal came forward. Something was wrong with his fur, it grew abnormally long on his head… like a horse or something. Introductions were made but Ashiel wasn't satisfied. He wanted to experience this and so calming himself he strode forward as cool and calm as you could please to stand next to his mother. He glared at Kaine as the other opened his stupid mouth. Did he miss the negotiation part of this exercise? Ashiel never did understand this rushing will to participate in violence. Sure, he knew his mother did such things for fun but he swore it seemed like several of his male family felt like they had to one up the other to show just how violent and terrible and scary they were. It made Ashiel want to roll his eyes. He preferred to show just how deadly he was when it was necessary and in as quiet and calculating a manner as possible.

As Amon spoke Ashiel turned his attention back to his uncle. Ashiel listened with rapt attention as Amon spoke, taking in his voice, his tone and his body language as he expertly laid out the situation. It was a thing of beauty watching his uncle so neatly, and chillingly, lay out the terms and the cost for refusing to accept them.
