The Nature of the Beast (celestial fight training)

The time since the raid had been frustratingly nonproductive for the pack in general and Justice specifically. Finding out that her brother had been kidnapped by their Talis cousin had been a hard blow to her that not even the smug knowledge that she'd blinded the bastard could soothe. Finding out that Exodus had disappeared again after the raid had made it even worse.
Then her mother had died.
It seemed like nothing in her life could just go right for once. Her family had fallen apart, torn from her one by one just as it seemed they were all coming back together again. On the one side of things her mother's death was almost a relief after all they'd been through with her long comatose state, but on the other side... she'd never gotten to hear her voice again after all that time being lost. It was like... well, like being lost once again.
Still reeling from blow after blow she'd withdrawn from the pack, even from the one brother who'd still remained there. Besides, with Solveiga nursing a new litter he had his paws full with all the injured who were recovering and the maimed to comfort and all. The last thing he needed was his sister moping around getting in the way. Oh she was still in pack lands, she was still feeding herself, she was still walking border patrols, but she wasn't participating in the pack or seeking out training or much of anything at all but going through the motions.
When the call came for a pack fight training, she idly toyed with the idea of rejecting the call and going off somewhere to brood alone. The spurt of angry rebellion felt good after all the apathetic numbness of the last year, but an felicitous moment of clear thinking made her admit that she actually really did want to go to the fight training and NOT going just because she wanted to be rebellious was both useless and stupid. She would kick herself later if she missed it for any reason, let alone because she was being a stupid child.
Still, she stalked into the group with a simmering sense of self-righteous irritation. She'd done just fine in the raid hadn't she? It wasn't fight training she needed at this point, it was healer training, and clearly they didn't have enough trained healers if none of them could have been bothered to mentor the apprentices in it so shouldn't that have been what they were holding?
