Blowing the Bugle Horn

Zuriel had family on the brain a lot lately. That wasn’t too much of a stretch for her, but with her sons still missing, little contact with the rest of her family, and not even the slightest prospect as far as a mate goes she had been feeling a bit lonely. Daelos was probably the only reason she hadn’t gone off the deep end completely. The young girl kept her on her toes with constant questions and lessons. In a way Zuriel was greatful for it. All the questions helped keep her own knowledge sharp and helped her learn or remember facts along the way. She was quick to make her way toward the pack hunt if for no other reason than because she knew Daelos would as well. In fact, she saw her similarly colored daughter already sitting there when she arrived. She smiled at her little over achiever and sat down beside her. Zuriel wished Daelos had gone and socialized with her cousins at least, but she wasn’t surprised to find her sitting alone. Her antisocial tendencies seemed to pass on to her daughter. |
