One heck of a start

Maple what a pretty name! Rani loved to learn the names of the people she met. Mainly because that ment she was meeting someone new, but also because to her names said a lot and have so many different meanings. She was so lost in her thoughts that she almost didn't register what Maple had said. She went from a standing happy position to sitting down with her head down and ears pinned in embarrasment. " No I decided to check these caves out but now I'm not quite sure where I'm at" she mumbled. She herself still couldn't believe that she ended up lost. However Rani wasn't overly concern about it because she had confidence sooner or later the caves had to spit her out right? 

With sudden renewal of faith she jumped and looked at Maple with an almost pupish gleam of joy in her eyes. " Hey! We can look for a way out together! It would be so much fun and we can also explore or maybe see if there is some food? In kinda hungry you'd think a cave this big would have something to eat right? I mean..." she stopped mid sentence when she realized she was rambling and looking at the other female. To her, she kinda looked nervous or maybe scared? "Sorry" she said as way of apologizing for rambling but it was so hard to keep the excitement out of her voice it sounded as if she almost didn't mean it, but she did.
