The little guy was just too cute. He stood tall and proud; his thin, youthful voice wavering and crackling as he presumably tried to sound older and more impressive as he engaged a much older, much larger stranger. The boy was pretty brave, maybe foolishly so, but in this instance it wasn't going to cost him anything.
Angelus dipped his head slightly in greeting. "Well, Amos Allantide," he rumbled, "it's a pleasure to meet you." Ah, so the boy did live here. That wasn't a surprise; he appeared to still be too young to travel large distances. It made sense for his den to be nearby. This information only served to make Angelus more vigilant. He watched his surroundings out of the corner of his eye for fear of being sneaked up on. "From here, actually. My father used to rule a pack here called Imperium. When I was your age I had the run of the Orchard, the Range and the Knolls."
The boy's second question caused Angel's ears to flick forward. His curiosity was evident at he gazed at Amos. It was an odd thing to ask out of the blue, but perhaps not so surprising given how bold the boy was. "I do," he confirmed. "Been fighting since I learned how to walk," he said with a chuckle. "How about you, Amos?"
