Blowing the Bugle Horn

The new alpha guy was calling everyone for a hunt, and Kairi's head shot up from the hole she was digging. There really was no reason for her to dig a hole other than looking for buried treasure (at least that's what she told herself). Abandoning her unfinished treasure hunt, Kairi raced towards the gathered wolves to try her paw at her first pack hunt. She had never really hunted before. In fact, her dad mostly hunted for her because she hardly had the patience to sit and wait. She was always just rushing in and chasing it like around as if she were the headless chicken, and had been unsuccessful every time. She was, however, really good at catching bugs.
As she got closer to the gathering, she spotted her brothers there. Oh goody! She couldn't remember the last time they had all been together, but here they were! She did notice that Jadiah wasn't there, and wondered where her sister was...she hadn't spent a whole lot of time with her, but she could hardly find her anyway. Bouncing over to Torin, she launched herself at his tail and proceeded to nip at it as she rolled onto her side, "Heya Tor!" She knew her brother was grumpy, and probably even more grumpy since he hadn't gotten the position he wanted at the last meeting, so she promised herself to try and make him a little less grumpy in any way that she could. |
