Her father had said to take one of the kids on a walk. The wraith had forgotten which one. This one was a little whiner, it had to be this one. The little albino had enough spirit, so it was probably not that one. Wasn't there another one? Really small, if she recalled properly. Shit. Had she nabbed the wrong kid? Glancing behind her, crimson gaze would narrow to scrutinize the pup. Oh fuck me. The kid's mother was going to murder her. If she could reach that far down, the fuckin' giraffe.
"Hey, short stack," Gotta beat 'em down early, so they don't fight back once they get big. With parents who's legs might as well be tree trunks, no doubt this one was going to surpass her in a few months. "dad said you wanted an adventure, didn't he?" Shit, they'd gone this far, after all. These caverns were supposed to be treacherous, perfect for toughening up a snot-nosed whiner.
Musculature rippled beneath thick pelt as she clambered up a rock face. She stared down the half foot outcropping at the pup. Hmm. A test of her mettle? Yeah, call it that. Then dad won't get mad. Well, not super mad.
