Antonina Wrote:While refusing to admit defeat, Annie knew she was lost. The trees would tower over wolves ten times her size, which made the forest even more daunting. She had one goal – find her way home but between the storm and her lost sense of direction, Antonina was at a loss as to how she was supposed to go about it. She was too far away to call for help – it was likely no one in the area even knew what empire she was from, much less where it was located and how to navigate her way back. It was here that she had to make a choice. The child had to figure out what she was to do. The sooty girl continued her ventures, slowly heading south towards the heart of the land.
Her nose twitched softly, thinking she’d caught a scent on the wind before she glanced up at the night sky. It was covered with clouds but through the gaps she could see the constellations above her. Bird. She traced the edges of Aquila through the sky. It was funny – they were the same stars from home and yet they could not guide her back. Her fur bristled slightly along her spine. She was frustrated, and cold, and just a little hungry. She really wished she’d paid more attention to her lessons back home… and that she hadn’t acted impulsively by adventuring in the midst of winter.
