The vixen was alight with fury. He had dared to come back? Now of all times? No! No! She would rip his still beating heart from his chest and she'd tear it apart, then he might feel what he'd done to her. His scent assaulted her senses and she rose from the den they had once shared together and she stalked towards him, jaws parted and saliva dripping from pristine ivories.

She emerged from the brush, brilliant blues alive with her unparalleled anger. Her ears pulled flush to her skull, her jaw snapping shut and a snarl tearing itself free from her throat. "State your purpose stranger!" She emphasized that word, a spear she aimed to drive into his heart. "I don't take kindly to trespassers!" Mammon snapped, for the moment unconcerned by his visible confusion. Good, let him scramble!
