FROM THE ASHES, WE RISE [The Empire]

Oh bloody hell; she was late. She caught the tale end of her father's words after she slunk in, but she listened readily - she always did. She always would. Her family held a place for her that none others could ever compete with. No mate, no servant, no 'friend'. Family, and only family - unless they were traitors, of course. Like that stupid whelp of Adramalech's. Eh, at least that particular failure was eliminated. No weakness could be cultivated in the Abraxas family. Abyzou had most definitely been a weakness.
She waited until the end for her to speak, a little spark in her eyes as she waited and listened. Hmm. What would be best for her? She loved to fight, to explore - she wasn't really sure what her specialty was. Well, provoking people. She was a smartass, and as she grew older, she learned more and more the right time to say something. It was, of course, why her father looked at her with both exasperation and pride at the same time. She was his daughter after all. Humming at the end, she spoke up. "Honestly, Father, I'm not sure where my talents would best lay. I will learn whatever it is you wish to teach me, and serve our family however it is I need to." Simple as that; that was it.
