Curiosity had gotten the better of them. When they were wandering around, aimlessly, they had found the cave. Inside was dark, and nerves had filled them. They had twisted and turned, pacing outside of the opening, trying to gather up their nerves. Finally, they darted inside, not allowing themselves the time to chicken out. Adedayo's paws carried them quickly, away from the light that they wanted so badly to go back to. When the light was far enough away, they found themselves coming to a stop, faltering, breath catching in their throat as they stared at the area in front of them. It wasn't as dark as they had expected, but there was still a spike of anxiety in their stomach, sending their heart fluttering.
With a heavy swallow, they started moving again, this time their pace not as fast as it had been. They could see, jaws parting quietly to breathe in the air, maybe try and get rid of the panicky feeling inside of their chest. After a few moments, they turned into a room, their breath coming in a sudden gasp as their gaze caught sight of the walls. Strange designs were on a near wall, and they moved closer, almost unconsciously. Their gaze wasn't torn from the wall until a slight movement from the corner of their eye caught their attention. Adedayo's head whipped around to face the source of the movement, fur rising along their back until they realized just what it was. Another wolf; their fur began to flatten, and, slowly, they began to relax.
The other wolf was a pup, probably about the same age as Adedayo, if they were judging correctly. The pup didn't seem to be much bigger, either, and they edged towards the other pup, one who seemed just as interested in the designs as they had been. Their jaws parted, a quiet noise escaping them, hoping to catch the other pup's attention. If they hadn't managed to already, that was. Regardless of if it worked or not, they spoke, voice lowering and quieter than they had expected. "Do you know who made the...." The word for it escaped them, and they tilted their head, just slightly, towards the designs on the wall. "Those." Embarrassment was flooding them, and they were regretting even approaching.
