Clenched tightly between her jaws was the precious stick that she had continually forgotten to return. It had been the turn of a season, and now the child was finally getting around to returning it. Would Jupiter be mad? Oh no, would he say they weren't friends anymore? That would be horrible.

The stink of a million wolves was here. All over the mountain. Oh no. Why were there so many? Did Jupiter know all of these wolves? Did he also have lots of brothers and sisters? It was really strong, and there was a pretty defined area that seemed like someone else's home. "Ahhmm..." The grip on the stick wavered, and she might have dropped it if she hadn't been paying attention. Mismatched gaze flickered back and forth, wondering if perhaps this was the wrong mountain. Maybe there were other mountains nearby?

A tremulous call trickled from her throat, daring to announce herself. Would he show? Was he even here? The thick fur of her paws had become muddied through the trek, and there were little splotches of it going up her legs. Nope, this was a bad idea. Very bad. Backpedalling from the foot of the mountain, she decided she would wait for him to come and find her home.
