Live Wire

Jupiter eyed the yearling as he spoke, his nose twitching as he breathed in his scent. He was familiar with the male's scent; it was all over the border and having crossed the border frequently, Jupiter was no stranger to the scents that defined it. It was also the stinkiest smell he encountered. That made sense, he supposed. The biggest, strongest stink belonged to the leader. "You're forgiven," he said seriously.

After skewering his groundhog again, Jupiter hauled it to the den and gently laid both it and the stick inside before turning around and plopping down on his rump in front of Tyranis. "Well, it's nice to meet ya, Tyranis. My name's Jupiter. If you're looking for my mom she's not here right now." Which was a shame, really, as he'd had his heart set on showing off his prize and none of his family was here to see it.
