I'M BLUE DABA DEE DABA DYE

Jupiter remained where he was as the grownup looked him over. The big guy was funny. His uncertain movements kind of reminded Jupiter of the time he'd cornered a squirrel. The silly little critter hadn't known what to do and it had bounced between two boulders. He'd almost caught it, but at the last second it made up its mind and finally picked a direction.

He remained sitting, beaming brightly, as Ashmedai stepped close enough that Jupiter was forced to go cross-eyed in order to keep looking him in the face. The grownup introduced himself and then asked him a question Jupiter found kind of confusing. He didn't belong to anybody! Nope, he was his own man. "I didn't 'cause I don't."

Jupiter cocked his head at Ashmedai's second question. Boy, he was full of silly questions, wasn't he? "I don't have a dad, I have a mom. Her name is Artemis." Looking at Ashmedai all cross-eyed was making his head hurt so he leaned back a little. The move was unnecessary, though, as Ashmedai stepped back soon after.

"Does your mother know you're wandering around? I coulda' been dangerous you know." Now it was Jupiter's turn to be sour. Ashmedai wasn't going to tattle on him, was he? That would be mean. "No," he sniffed, "She doesn't know everything. And you can't be dangerous. You're my packmate."
