Lydia was deeply concerned for the pup and wondered what neglectful parents would let her wander into caverns unescorted. She still felt there was a good chance they were nearby and so she kept her distance. She didn't want to be seen as a threat to anyone's young. However, her nose rarely lied and she didn't catch the scent of anyone else nearby. The girl confirmed that her parents weren't anywhere, her mother cleaning and her father hunting. Lydia blinked as the girl asked about the mushroom. "That is a mushroom." She wasn't quite sure what kind, it would require further examination but before she could look it snapped off it's root and the girl became very upset. "Oh no, it's alright! Really, it's fine. I'm sure it will grow back, it's like a plant you see?" She padded closer, in truth she wasn't sure if it would grow back like a plant would but she hated to see the girl panic over it. "Besides, if you wanted to gather it for medicinal purposes you'd have to break it off anyway. These plants were put here by a great and wise spirit to aid us. Although I don't think this one is for helpful medicine."
