It felt quite strange being back home - so much had changed since she'd left. The worst thing looming over her mind was that her children were full fledged adults now. It was hard to imagine her babies all grown up and doing their own things to help within the pack, but it was happening. Her daughters at least hadn't lost their child-like energy and it was more than refreshing to be around. While she loved her nephew, Miach had been poor company when she'd finally found him. He was quiet and brooding and had refused to talk about where he'd been and what he'd been doing. Then there were her sons. Breasal seemed to be taking the same route both his parents were and she found his interest in fighting something that she could work with. Maybe it was time to test him to see what she'd learned. Then there were Torin's ambitions - she was pleased to see Rory had appointed him as Iliff. Not only that, but Rory had exceeded her expectations. He'd even appointed Frostbite as his second to make up for his own shortcomings as far as his expectations.

Of course there were downsides to her return. A lot had happened since she was away and not all of it was good. What had happened to Jewell was on the forefront of her mind. So far she'd learned that a wolf that went by the name of Ariet Lore had assaulted the little rainbow girl and been held captive. Rory and a few others had saved her and Rory had taken the male captive. She didn't like the idea that an enemy had been within the pack's borders and obviously Rory hadn't liked it either since he'd seen fit to eventually kill the male. Thinking on it now, she needed to see how Rory was doing after that ordeal. She couldn't imagine taking a life was an easy decision no matter how horrible of a wolf the guy had been.

Rather than stop by and see her son, Faite headed towards Jewell's den instead. She was surprised to see a hide hanging from some roots, but she was pleased with the ingeniousness of it. She had to admit it made for a rather nice door and more than likely it helped keep the elements at bay. The scent that reached her nostrils though was enough to cause her to pause and she studied it for a brief moment. That was the exact scent she and her sister had when they were pregnant. Surely Jewell couldn't be? She shook the thought away for a moment and peeked her head into the entrance past the flap of hide.

"Jewell." She said with a soft smile as she stared at her brightly colored child. "I came to check up on you."
