He'd gone months without really seeing much of his mother, and yet it was something he was used to. He hadn't grown up any differently so it was normal to him that she disappeared during the day. She'd made sure they were fed and safe and past that they'd grown up relatively normal. Well, as normal was with their little family. Bellum had disappeared a long time ago so it was just him and Rein now, but it wasn't strange to him in the slightest. It was just how their lives worked and he saw nothing wrong with it.
He had no idea of his mother's guilt at how she'd raised them, but he wasn't mad at her for it. He still had that connection with his mother that most children had. She was his parent after all and she had a special place in his abnormal little heart. So when she came to him, apologizing, with a defeated demeanor? Well he was more than confused. What was she sorry for? She had done nothing wrong. Well nothing that he knew of, but he also wasn't going to be the type to be angry at her either.
"Why are you sorry?" He asked with a tilt of his head.
