As soon as Angelus explained a bit about himself, the boy's attitude changed and he immediately began to pepper him with questions. He wanted to show the boy that he was taking him seriously, but he couldn't keep a straight face as Amos asked him question after question. He was just too darn cute. Angelus just grinned, nodded and waited patiently for the boy to pause for air before jumping in and answering his questions. "I did, I have two siblings who are my age and we went on all kinds of adventures. The knolls..." He paused to think for a second. "I think out of the three lands Buffalo Knolls was my favorite. I could sit up on this big rock and watched as a huge herd of buffalo stampeded around me."
"Would you maybe teach me some? I could be a good learner! I'm pretty smart!" God, the kid was so happy, so excited about the prospect of someone teaching him. How could he possibly say no? Angel had grown up surrounded by capable fighters who were more than happy to share their knowledge with him. He couldn't imagine it being any other way, but if it had been different, he would have hoped someone would come along and teach him.
"You strike me as pretty smart, kid. I bet your parents are proud of you. Taking the initiative and all." Yeah, there was no way he could say no. "Alright, I'll teach you." He regarded him curiously. It was kind of hard to pick something to teach him without knowing what the boy had been taught already. "Is there anything in particular you want to know about? Any questions that have been bugging you or things you've been struggling with?"
