Lost, but now I'm Found

Ara's wandering had become slightly aimless again - while she knew the future plan was to find a pack for both both her and Athena, as well as Hymn and his family, it wasn't quite so easy as waltzing up to pack borders and questioning them. Not for her, at least. She wanted somewhere safe to settle down, to hopefully live out the rest of her days, without worry or fear for the safety of her family. A pack, hopefully, without enemies. Ara preferred to skirt around their borders, to watch from afar and observe until she found a place suitable to call home. It'd been awhile that she'd been out and about at night, but she was having trouble sleeping during this cool spring night, and figured a walk through the forest might help clear her mind. When the scent of someone familiar touched her nose - was that her son's scent that ran faintly through the forest? - she redirected her path toward the source of the smell. Even from a distance, once she saw him, she could tell that it wasn't her son at all - this wolf had a pale coat, a sharp contrast to her son's dark one. It was obvious even though the fog, which hung heavy over the forest floor. Brows furrowed as she slowly walked forward, noticing now that the scent was only touched with her son's scent, but was not his alone. Could.. this be one of the grandchildren he'd spoken of? A smile pulled at her lips as she lowered her head and let out a bark in his direction, hoping she didn't startle the boy. "Excuse me?" Ara, always polite, didn't want to overwhelm the stranger, and paused a suitable distance from. It was possible he was merely someone Hymn knew, but she had to ask. "Do you happen to know a man named Hymn?" |
