Sindre's travels had taken her west. The north had been her playground for some time, but she'd grown restless there and taken up wandering again. In contrast to her favorite haunts, the west was a rather dry place. To get to the wetland oasis she was taking refuge in, Sindre had first made her way across a desert. Her paws had blistered on the sand and thanks to a stiff wind, a layer of fine dust coated her back. But she'd made it and now, with the dry and boring stretch behind her, Sindre had her sights set on a nearby pool that looked perfect for soaking in. Slowly she hobbled closer. Honestly she was a little afraid to look at her paw pads. Her left forepaw was giving her the most trouble and she'd taken to favoring it protectively. The last thing she needed was for the blisters to bust open. She wasn't a healer, but she knew an open blister could develop an infection, and that was the last thing she needed. With a sigh Sindre sank down into the pool. Swirls of dirt rippled off of her as the water soaked into her fur. The cool water offered a nice respite from the heat of the day and Sindre let her eyes close in contented bliss. Aw, yes. |
