Etain padded through the moor with her own unique, hopping gait with her head tipped down toward the ground. Her nose was sniffing for any of the herbs that Paladin had taught them about at the last healer's meeting. She didn't know anyone that was pregnant, but that didn't mean that she didn't need them. Searching for herbs had become her favorite pastime and coping mechanism. Her mom was feeling a little better which was good, but now that dad was going blind too... Of course her mom had been blind for forever, but it just came out of no where and she couldn't imagine that it was a good sign from what she knew about healing. She sighed softly at her own thoughts and tried to push them away so she could focus more on the task at hand. Maybe she should broaden her search. At least then she could come home something even if it wasn't one of the birthing-related herbs. She had started digging out her own little den with an herb store near where her parents slept so that she would have a good place to keep them. Having a task to keep her busy was keeping her spirits up and made her feel useful. She just wished her brothers would come home so she would have someone to talk to that would understand how she felt. |
