Life Changes

Pregnancy. It wasn't an easy scent to hide and Sparrow wasn't convinced Lillianna was trying to hide it anyway. The girl had seemed to lie low, no matter how Sparrow had tried to find her. It wasn't Sparrow's job to track down Lillianna and inform her of her rank change, nor was it her job to hunt her down and ask her about her pregnancy. She knew the time would eventually come when Lillianna would give birth and despite how much Sparrow would rather not deal with all that, she had already been collecting herbs and preparing for the occasion.
The father, however, was another story entirely. Sparrow was pretty sure she knew who it was, although she wasn't keen to say anything. She waited for one of them to come to her, to say something or ask her for advice. She waited, making herself available, but nothing came. Funny how almost every other pack member seemed to be able to come and talk to her except Lillianna and Lark.
At least Lark helped on hunts.
Which was why Lillianna was an omega.
But what did that mean for the pups? What were the pups of the omega? What rank or status did this grant them?
Nevertheless, the call did come. As she had expected, Lark was the one to call out. Sparrow grabbed the supplies she had been collecting and made her way towards the duo.
Sparrow found that the closer she god, the stronger the dormant anger inside of her welled. By the time she got to the birthing den, she was clutching her bag of herbs so tightly, her teeth hurt. She wouldn't do anything to hurt the pups or their mother ever, but that didn't stop her from being angry.
Her eyes flicked to Lark, cold and sharp. She set down the bag, unfurling it to unveil the herbs she had been collecting.
"Unless you know how to use these, I suggest you let me handle this," she said, addressing Lillianna rather than Lark. They would have their words later. For now, it was about getting those pups out alive.
