Instead of reacting as if she was surprised, the child stood strong and confident. Her reaction made Ásvor that much more certain in her decision to not see what might happen to the child's body if she sent them over the side of the gorge. Perhaps things would be more entertaining this way? Marvel's comment elicited a soft laugh and a cocky grin to accompany it. "I wasn't sure if those pale eyes of yours worked," she observed slowly; Ásvor had never seen anyone quite like this child, with such pale fur and a strange pink nose. "You're not so ugly yourself.." The child had obviously been gifted with high quality genes, though Ásvor had never seen such a pale wolf before. She raised a brow at Marvel's reaction. The whelp insisted she was supposed to be out on her own, retorting with the same question. She earned another soft laugh. "Nobody's had any say in that matter for a long time," she answered, clearly amused. Even when she was a child, the parental influence over her had been minimal at best - the Finnvi children had been bred to be independent and not rely on others, even parents, as soon as they were able. She tilted her head slightly to peer down the side of the gorge, curious about it still. "You wondering what's down there, too?" |
