Ashiel pranced into the throne room, his tail wagging as he investigated, pausing as he found a stray peacock feather. Seizing it in his teeth he raced toward his mother intent on tickling her with the feather. He wasn't sure why he was feeling so puppyish all of a sudden. He knew it was not behavior befitting a new emperor but all the same… he was in a good mood. A fantastic mood! The pressure of the challenge was fading and the pressure of ruling had yet to settle on his shoulders. He'd been listening though to Pyralis as she debated what to do next though he had little to add. His mother's heart was impossible to predict. |
