Don't Bring Me Down.... Bruuuuuce!

Pyralis was investigating the scents near the windows when a feather in her ear caused her to yell in surprise. She eyed her child then grinned and scrambled away with a laugh as he chased her. She leapt onto the throne, twisted around and seized the feather from Ashiel, ripping it from him in a quick smooth motion. Throwing it down she swiftly sat on it then stretched herself across the throne with a grin. "You've much still to learn, my dear child." She gazed at him as he grinned at her and found a sort of sadness buried in her bosom. Where had all the time gone? In a few seasons he would be a full adult. 2 years? 2 years! How had she been a mother 2 years?

Slipping from the den she padded over to him and licked fussily at his left ear as if she saw a patch of dirt that needed cleaning. With a grin she turned and continued exploring the castle, slipping through one of the doorways in the back and into what was once a kitchen. Her own age was starting to weigh on her mind. When the season turned again she would be 6 years old. Where had the time gone? Where was it going?
