Won't stop till we're legends

Hot breaths exited her lungs, loud and raspy, easily heard. Paws - three ivory and one tan - hit the ground hard as the girl ran, speeding up a little as a familiar fallen log came into view. "Just a little further!"

Filling out her long-legged yearling frame, Caelestis was turning into a tall young woman indeed. By now she was more or less her full height, maybe if she was lucky she had another inch or so in her but for the most part she was finishing growing upwards and only had to fill to the awkward build she'd obtained. In fact, that was part of what she was doing now! As she gracefully cleared the log that she used as her start and finish line, the girl completed her lap around the thicket. It was part of her self-imposed training regime that she intended to keep up with on a daily basis. Sometimes in the planes, sometimes the thicket, but never really near the rapids unless she was keeping all four paws firmly on solid ground. Even if she was almost old enough to start hanging around there and learning to cross, she was still weary.

Slowing to an easy trot, she continued on the well-worn path for quite a ways. It was important to cool off her muscles slowly and take good care of her body if she wanted to be the 'ultimate fighting champion', so another half-lap would be perfect. Although, she still had quite a bit of energy left...

Lifting her dark head, Caelestis glanced around hoping to spy someone nearby to pester. She wanted to do practice spars, and fight training! But... there weren't really a lot of fighters here. What was she to do? Oh, wait, she had an idea. Tipping her head back, the yearling girl let out a soft howl, seeking a pack mate. The howl was challenging, announcing her spar-related intentions. Even though she was pretty much big enough to go to the battlefield, it sounded a lot more fun to practice with someone she could also bond with a little.
