Navigation -- Buffalo Knolls

The female had started slipping away from the Mangroves a little more frequently, and though she was sure that it would worry her mother and brother eventually they hadn’t seemed to catch on to her plans just yet. No Face had been surprisingly cooperative at the idea of keeping the idea of a Resistance secret from them. The bat hawk was also rather diligent at making sure Philomena was actively training, keeping up on the skills that her uncle had taught her. Though dodging shadows wasn’t the same as fighting another wolf… and tracking was great and all, but what purpose did it really serve?

Philomena had debated about heading to the battlefield, but she was certain the moment her challenge call rang out across the lands her mother and Ulric would know exactly what she was up to. But how could she form a Resistance without learning more about battle? A huff left the female, and she dug her claws into the ground as she pressed on. Sooner or later she was going to have to bite the bark, basically… She couldn’t hide the truth from them forever. Especially if they were going to believe things would be fine the way they were.

A screech told Philly that No Face was hunting. The bat hawk had a voracious appetite and he went after his favorite snack a lot; bats.

It made Philomena a little sad to see such cute creatures eaten… but hey, they all had to eat something, right? She was sure the prey she hunted had family that cared about them too.

Philomena paused, ears perking as she looked up at the sky from on top of one of the many knolls here. She took a deep breath, letting the wind play with her fur. ‘This is the right choice… I know it is… I just hope Mama and Ulric will understand.’ The girl wasn’t sure what she wanted to make of the Resistance she sought to form. Would it be a pack or more of a temporarily family?

Details, details to iron out. Philomena’s ears twitched, the sound of some sort of scuffle reaching her ears. That didn’t sound too good!
