In all honesty she was bored. After meeting Pyre she hadn't really socialized much, and that drew her out of the west to explore further and further. With the good weather it was far more comfortable for her to explore more of the continent. She would stay the heck away from the north though, with it's eternally low temperatures. To heck with that nonsense.
The sight of a river was a welcome one. Another good swim sounded great as the heat of the day started to get to her with her dark coat. She was standing poised on the shore when she noticed an ivory woman on the other side. Canting her head, Echo eyed the lady curiously. Busy tail wagged once, uncertainly as she called, "Escapin' the heat?" Echo never said she was great at starting up conversations.
