He hadn't told Storm yet. How could he? He was a warrior, he should be a symbol of strength no matter what. He was safety in his own mind to his childhood friend. The slow blurring of his vision was not something he could admit to her just yet. It had started earlier in the season but he hid it from her. He would keep it from her for as long as he could. For the moment it was still only like he had tears in his eyes constantly, blurring everything but clearing up in dimmer lights. How was he supposed to be a healer and protector if he couldn't see? The answer didn't come to him easily.

He padded towards home, crossing a scent that made him pause. Male, and heading straight for his den. Straight for storm. He didn't like that. He knew she hadn't learned to fight as he had, and the scent, he had smelled faintly when he met Storm's daughter. The father? Possibly. He knew Storm had not chose that litter though. She was forced and this male might be the one, come back to do so once more. He moved more urgently forward. His hackles bristled but he held himself back from making much noise. Only his telltale heavy foot falls and his upwind approach would be giving him away. That was more for Storm's benefit though.

As he came upon the den he stopped and looked around. There was no other blur other than storm. Though there was another scent, one that smelled of the male but that was a secondary scent. He pinned his ears and moved to find the source of that scent. He didn't want that male anywhere near his best friend. If he had hurt her in any way Chinook would be making sure he didn't live to do so again. "It was him wasn't it..... did he harm you Storm?"
