Evading Slumber

She sighed as she crawled from her den, gold eyes looking up to the bright sky full of stars. For some reason she couldn't sleep tonight, she had tried several positions, but still couldn't fall asleep. She didn't know why and she was growing frustrated. So instead of continuing to try and crawled from her den and decided to go for a walk. Maybe some fresh air would help and maybe if she walked long enough it would poop her out. She she quietly slipped off, she was sure the rest of the pack would be asleep and she didn't want to disturb them from their slumber. Summer was coming to an end and her season was finally calming down. None of her family had visited which also worried her. Had something happened to them? She really hoped not.

Sighing in frustration so continued on walking and walking in hopes to wear her body out enough that she would have to sleep. She had work to do tomorrow and hated the fact she was up so late to begin with. Soon it would get cold again and she wasn't looking forward to it. Soon she settled in the middle of the plains, staring up at the sky as if it could help her. She frowned slightly not feeling at all tired yet and feeling all alone since the rest of the pack was asleep.
