It's about to go down

The other wolf moved back and set his defenses, and that was all the answer Mara really needed. Unfurling herself from her place nestled among the tree roots, Mara took a position away from the tree, aiming to stand roughly ten feet away from her opponent if he’d allow, facing the grey brute and pulling her lips back into a snarl. Now was as good a time as any to work off some pent up aggression and get started on working her body into fighting shape again. Even if she was a little fatigued, she wasn’t going to let the challenge go unanswered. Legs spreading equidistant, weight settling evenly over all four limbs and knees bending to lower her center of gravity Mara began her preparations. Ears fell back, chin tucked, eyes narrowed to slits to protect them from the fangs of her opponent. With head and tail aligned with her spine she was ready, and wordlessly surged forwards in an attempt to close the distance between her opponent and herself. Since he was seemingly the same height as herself she expected no weight advantage to abuse. A fight on roughly equal - if you didn’t account for her tired state, though the adrenaline was quick to get her blood pumping - physical footing was an interesting change of pace. She sought to come at him head on, aiming to slam her chest into his dead center. If she did it just right she would leave behind some moderate bruising, or at least that was the goal. At the same time her head snaked over to her own left, aiming to bite into the right side of Xander’s face. Her upper jaw aimed just above his right brow spot, while her lower jaw sought to dig into the flesh above the right corner of his mouth. If she had her way she would draw her jaws together and leave a fair amount of facial scarring with the wounds she aimed to inflict.
