Her chest slam missed it's mark, and she growled as she shifted her weight back to stop her momentum as there was nothing left to stop her as she stood with him slightly to her right. Her bite wasn't wasted though, as she re-angled herself and ended up managing to sink her fangs into his left shoulder. The success was satisfying, and it drove her as she pressed on, intending to put up a vicious, merciless fight. Her legs  re-positioned to sit equidistant apart, snarl reforming as she pulled her head back from his shoulder, half-tail flagging out for whatever balance it could add, aligning with her spine along with her head at the same time. Chin tucked, ears flattened, eyes narrowed and snarl reformed as she prepared for a second assault. He aimed to wrap his arms around her neck, and succeeded, by her design. As his jaws parted, coming in for a bite that would surely leave scars over the previously unmarked right side of her face, Mara's own jaws opened once more, angling upwards and seeking to grasp his lower jaw as it came in for the bite, upper jaw aiming to sink in over his tongue while the lower jaw aimed to grasp under his chin. She sought one thing - control. At the same time Mara would shift her weight to her hind legs, lifting her front end in an attempt to stand rearing before her opponent, also lifting her left paw and hoping to wrap it around his right side just below his right elbow. Her right front leg would seek to wrap itself around the left side of his neck and grip the male. Then, Mara would violently twist her body to the right, hoping to knock the man off balance and send him to the ground beneath her, toes splaying and claws sinking into the ground for added traction.
