Domari pulled away far too soon for her liking. It had been years since she'd seen him. She almost couldn't believe it. He felt so solid and real; she would have loved to hug him longer. Her little brother had made it. She didn't know about the others, but seeing him gave her hope. Sindre couldn't stop looking at him; couldn't stop grinning either. Nothing in their surroundings held a candle to the sight of her baby brother. She was proud of him. God, she was so proud and relieved. He looked strong and well fed; he'd done well for himself. Was that a pack she smelled on him? Good for him! Her smile faltered a bit when he asked about the others. "I'm doing well, but...I haven't seen the others in years," she admitted. Suddenly it occurred to her that he'd said something about...poking a guy's eyes out? With her thoughts on their siblings she'd glossed over that bit originally, but now? Puzzled, she looked up at him. "You did what?" A raid, he said? "That sounds..." She wasn't sure what to say. "It sounds like you're doing well." |
