He was busy with the long-dreaded task of picking a den site. There were too many options, and each attempt seemed to just end with Amos setting off and spending hours exploring every slightly interesting nook and cranny of the territory until he realized the day was over and he was no better off than he was before. It was slightly annoying, but also fun and a decent way to become familiar with his new home, so he wasn't keen on ending the cycle too soon. He was busy digging at a burrow out of sheen curiosity rather than because he was being productive in this moment, when a howl reach his ears and had him raising his head sharply, muzzle covered in dirt as he listened. Hey, he knew that voice! Amos was never one to keep others waiting, so he set off, shaking the dirt from his pelt as he raced to meet the caller.
Trotting jauntily into the meeting area, tail wagging lightly as he called, "Making good on what we discussed already?" he called, referring to their first meeting as he came to stand a reasonable distance from the younger girl. Glancing up at the wolf on the rock, he quickly added a greeting, "And a witness, how official. Good to meet you, I'm Amos Allantide, though I'm tempted to say you might already know that."
He refocused on his shimmering opponent with a gleeful smile. She sure was growing fast, wasn't she? Amazing to think she'd been a pup when they met and now was already a yearling. Next season he'd be two... yikes, time sure was relentless. "Enough beating around the bush though, hm? Are you ready, 'rielle?" His legs were already sliding into position, ears falling back as he began to prepare. Time to show one another what they'd learned.
